AbdulElah Al-Mohanna Engineering Consulting office Has founden in 1992 by Eng. AbdulElah Al-Mohanna in Riyadh. The firm has grown from 3 to over 150 engineer

Located within the Shanghai Science and Technology Finance cluster in the Putuo District, Changfeng enriches the local area and sets a new benchmark for mixed-use developments across the city. The landscaped site is part of the wider Shanghai 2035 Masterplan and stitches into an existing network of public green spaces and waterways, to enhance wellbeing for occupants and visitors.

The project utilises the idea of the ‘15-minute community Life Circle,’ to ensure that daily essentials and services are accessible to all residents. The development incorporates a rich mix of retail, offices, public facilities, recreational areas and generous plazas, which are all within a 15-minute walk away.

A central axis runs directly through the development, from north to south, connecting its two main access nodes. Smaller secondary streets intercept with the central axis to create a highly permeable and accessible scheme. The streets are designed at human scale and buildings step back for natural ventilation, creating characterful and healthy spaces for the community to enjoy. Offices are located to the north of the central axis, providing a new landmark on the busy Jinshajiang road, while residential buildings in the south are surrounded by the serene Changfeng Park.

At the heart of the scheme, a flexible arts centre (Jia Art) combines over 5000m² of exhibition and educational spaces. Inspired by the spring blessing flower that is native to the local park, the petal-like structure embraces a generous central plaza that sits at the intersection of two primary axis. The arts centre provides a unique space where the local community can gather and exchange ideas.

The office towers offer exceptional views of the city and include a range of amenity spaces, which act as a catalyst for collaboration. Multi-level terraces are combined with flexible floorplates to cater for a variety of tenants. Duplex winter gardens and roof terraces form a vertical green landscape and enhance natural ventilation within the towers.
